If and when Manny is let go, Miami must do a national search. This includes not just calling Mario and offering him the job. Let me say this, Mario will be an excellent choice, but I do not believe he is the only coach to lead us out of this 20 year drought. We can all have different opinions, but we can't have different facts, and the facts are there's more than one coach who has the capacity and resume to lead our program. Miami should first make a commitment to winning and back that up with financial resources. Once that is established, you go out and you interview multiple qualified candidates and make a decision. We can all agree, giving this job to Manny without a national search was negligence. If we are ok with doing the same thing for Mario or any other coach would that not be the text book definition of hypocrisy? A national search for out next coach needs to be a priority.
