After Garvin interview we know now why there weren’t as many sacks and why the bigger ends stayed in

The gameplay was to stay in your lanes and not leave any big wholes up the middle for the running backs or Felipe Franks to run through . Force Felipe Franks to beat you passing and it will lead to more turnovers .

I must say while I saw long fast Rush ends like Garvin and Roseau not flying off the edge , I was disturbed at first , but it makes sense now that they were going with the game plan which was to stand your man up and bull rush rather than a quick swim move and Leave 8 yards of the edge to penetrate due to The Defensive ends speed rushing . Garvin in his interview even seems a bit frustrated about the question . Why was there only 6 TFL and 1 sacks Jonathan ? He said he couldn’t quite answer that due to a certain scheme . With 2 ints and 2 Fumbles I’d say coaches knew what they were doing . Subtract 2 bullshiiii INTs and Blades and Hall both missing a kill shot on Coney #1 which led to a huge touchdown and We had a clear Victory on Defense.

I think we’ll see the opposite vs a Freshman QB at UNC and the Sacks and TFL will be piled up game 2 .
