I think, more than anything, is that the last 2 days should show everyone we aren’t that far off. Do we have issues? Yes. However, we just showed, on the road, that we are significantly more talented than FSU. Same team that started 2017 ranked #2.
Manny has a chance. He’s a good defensive coach and he has a good HC attitude. I think he can consistently run a high level defense here.
However, we need more. We need top level leadership to enhance staff and to enhance the recruiting operation. Alonzo Highsmith adds that to the organization. He has both the expertise and connections.
You want to add some recruiters? Alonzo helps there. He knows everybody. You want to enhance the scouting operation? Alonzo does that at the highest level.
