@majus12 how do you feel about the current state of the GOP party and Trumps' influence moving forward. Thanks in advance

Not majus but I am a right leaning independent which I believe Trump to be. Trump is not a republican imo, he’s an indepentant. this is a fair question so I’ll do my best if you care to read.

Again I’m not majus so I’m sure he has his own opinions so he can speak for him self as I am.

The republican party has been selling out for years. Look no further than mitch m. The guy is an empty suit. The party is in shambles. Things got really bad under busch jr and just got WAY worse under obama. Republicans and true independents (not just the guys that only vote because they have one agenda like weed or the color of someones skin, voters (most of them) want what’s best for their country and can’t get behind guys like romney just because they’re republican in name only. This is a big difference between republican/true independent voters and democrat voters. Most dem voters (not all) could care less about what happens to this country as long as they get what they want (promises/symbolism/ end justifies the means). Say what you want about trump but he did what he said he was going to do. Drop tax’s for the middle class, put iran on notice, build up the highest gdp in history and take a flame thrower to dc and hold the corrupt media accountable, etc.

A good friend of mine constantly says that a vote for the lesser of two evils is that if you don’t believe in someone that you voted for it is a wasted vote. That’s an independent. Obama didn’t win his second term because he’s who America wanted. He got elected to his second term because indi’s and repubs couldn’t support a guy like romney that they knew was a fraud.

Another big difference is that dems will almost always vote for the guy that they want to have a beer with or who will come off better as a better spokes person where as repubs have zero issues voting for an asshole like trump with orange skin and a bad hair cut if they/we think his policies are what’s best for the country.

a lot of us aren’t too happy with Trump and shocker feel like his ego and unapologetic approach got the best of him. All he had to do was just bite his tongue on occasion and let his supporting staff like that white house press secretary/angel from above could have done his talking for him. Unfortunately a lot of his supporting staff probably due to his lack of diplomacy didn’t have his back like pence for example. The guy pissed off everyone that tried to help him! That’s not good for anything.

to answer your question, trump still has pull because his policies were good and we still believe that if he can clean up the bull shit that he can go far in politics even if behind the scene. The guy put the republican party on notice and we love him for that. Sometimes being an asshole is necessary. There is ZERO persons on the left that will EVER hold people on the left accountable or do what’s best for the country because it’s not in their interest.

the republican party either needs to rebuild behind trump (even if behind the scene) or dissipate under what you saw under obama when the repubs were non existent and the dems were left to do what ever they wanted. Even under Busch, none of the elected repubs did what they were elected to do in his second term.

trump probably isn’t the best option to lead the repub party as a candidate but he needs to be leading the party and continue to be the asshole he is and hold the fraud republicans accountable. The left has gone so far left that there’s no reason we can’t have another independent to lead the repub party and get those independent votes. It has to be real though and not just some entitle hack that’s been in the system too long. The republicans and independents won’t support some one like romney the way the left has no problem getting behind someone like clinton or biden.

I read every word and disagreed with almost all of it in regards to Trump. He didnt do everything he said he would and his antics have hurt the GOP tremendously. But I appreciate you sharing your opinion and point of view.

I think tour summation was quite good. Trump did a lot of what he said he would do and was constantly blocked by Democratic B.S. just because he was Trump. I fully agree that some us , myself included, would vote for the candidate that would do the most for our country. I also agree that the Democrats in recent times are a hand out, welfare driven , party with little interest in doing what is best for the U.S.A. If a solid Republican does not rise through the Republican Party, I believe Trump will run again and attempt to further clean out the Democratic and Republican swamp.
