I agree with Gary that recruiting needs to get better. If you watch the play Bandy gets smoked, you will see Knowles in a cover three look. Sam does a straight drop and looks at Bady's receiver the whole time. Not only does Knowles not back peddle, but he also turns to his left when Sam is throwing to his left. He has been here four years and still does not know which direction to open his hips?!
I was not buying that the D-line was better than last year and I do not think Knowles is the answer at safety. How do you do a flat foot read when you double go routes and no one coming across his face?! There is no way a player like that should be starting at UM or any power 5 school with conference championship aspirations.
Redwine and Johnson developed nicely under Banda. I hope Hall picks it up a notch!
