As previously stated before, I am a football coach at Trenton High School, So this past weekend I decided to broaden my knowledge and go the Coaches Clinic this weekend at the U! Here are my observations!
First off Al Golden!
Very nice guy, he met with all the coaches, he stayed throughout the event while other coaches presented and so forth. But......The man was wearing a U belt upside down, not sure if he didn't look in the mirror or he is just that big of a duma**, it was embarrassing honestly.
James Coley- Great guy, Swagger is oozing from this guy. He broke down some offense for about an hour, this guy knows his stuff. Took us out to the practice fields and showed us drill using Kaaya and Rosier and their progressions and developments. Guy is a GRINDER!!!!!! LOVED being in the room with him. There is no way this guy is responsible for offensive breakdowns/play calling, Golden has to have a leash on him, cause from what I took away from him, he is an ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK guy.
Coach No'D- very nice dude, I didn't hear too much about his defensive philosophy because I went to Coley's instead.
Kehoe!- True Dog, guy is an animal, was running through drills with the OL guys, dripped in sweat, and loving it!
Beard- brought a lot of energy, looks like him and Coley are on same page. They would stop and talk X's and O's in the middle of other coaches sessions!! lol
These are the main guys I really took note of. Facilities are gorgeous, a lot of emphasis on ADIDAS as you can imagine. Met a lot of the players, and the FREAK of nature AQM!!! Guy is huge!!!
