This idea that the coordinators need to be Ace recruiters, or even good recruiters, is a bad idea IMO. You don't have a company where everyone works in marketing. You need some engineers making sure that the product is as finely tuned as it can possibly be. With 10 coaches, up to 4 GA's, a dozen support staff (if rumors are true), that's 26 people. Why can't two of them be focused on X's and O's? Yes they'll meet prospects when they come to campus and maybe for a key prospect, top QB or MLB who will QB the defense, they go and meet him but 95% of their time on the job should be spent watching film and figuring out how best to utilize the talent that the other 24 guys are charged with bringing in.

Plenty of people have already said that lots of coaches don't want to deal with year round recruiting. Kirby Smart recently said that CFB is losing good coaches to the NFL cause they don't want to deal with the recruiting and NIL stuff year round. But you aren't gonna win without great coordinators so don't ask them to deal with that. You have lots of other people to recruit. Ask the coordinators to scheme it up and put players in the best positions to succeed.
