The resident fraud has been hyping Baker as the reason for our stout run D and defense, in general, which was average at best for the first five games and since Diaz has stepped in has miraculously looked good again. Claiming Baker is great vs the run seems to be his crutch in this argument but it isn't accurate of course. There is nothing in baker's career history that indicates his defenses are Elite against the run.

Diaz coached defenses have certainly been gashed here and then on the ground, but his stats are still better than Baker's. It's no coincidence that the defense started looking better than minute Diaz got involved again.... And if we are able to finish this season strong you can look back at when that change happened as the turning point on our season.
