Yes, it is game day and i am worked up. But a couple of thoughts on last night's bball game.
First, the team is still building game chemistry. Several times it was clear, especially when Chris was running point that others were not moving enough and when they did they were not going where he expected them to go. That is game chemistry and only comes from game experience, you don't get it in practice. But the late-game run showed some of it gelling.
Also, yes FAU made some runs, cut it to three, but L never panicked, He freely got some of the youngsters in there and sat Chris more than he normally would. There were some interesting combinations out there. It is clear L has a plan and he will use these next non-conference games to build the chemistry and see what he has, We could have won by more but L did stick to his plan. Remember we have close to a full bench this year as opposed to seven last year. And most of the team doesn't have game experience with each other.
This would have been game one in a normal season, not L'ville, I thought we were respectable against L'ville as I expected that game to be much worse, I am optimistic as this team gets used to each other that they will be much better than 9th in the conference which is where they were voted preseason.
Now back to football, we are going to kick L'ville's a** and send our seniors out with honor!
