It will offer a chance for Um coaches to show off the new facilities on campus.
"This is the first year that our practice fields are not going through a massive rehabilitation or complete renovation," Golden said. "Also, we were unable to secure usage of our IM fields prior to last year, so this is the first year that we have access to our Intramural Fields in conjunction with our practice fields at The U. The net result - The South Florida Shootout. Forty-eight teams, comprised of nearly 1,000 student-athletes, their coaching staffs, teammates and families. We're expecting over 2,000 visitors here on Sunday with the aim of making The U the center of the college football world this weekend.
"Nothing is more powerful than what you experience. We're looking forward to showcasing the many aesthetic changes that have occurred to campus in the last two years as well as our new Student Center, Medical Facility, Football Complex, Academic Support Center, Practice Fields, Training Table, Dining Facilities, as well as sharing close up rendition of the $400 million renovation currently underway at Sun Life Stadium."
With this and the great South Florida recruiting going on things are really looking up for this season and the future.
