Defied their Union today and reported to work. They care. That's the teachers you want. They get it.
As hard as this is for me I also give a tiny bit of credit to Lightfoot. She was pretty adamant the schools need to be open.

That was tough,

Now she should fire the teachers. All of them. I'm not joking.

A la Reagan and the Air Traffic Controllers back in the 80's.

I hope they fire all those 90% and hire teleworkers from other areas as an FU

Yes, but to HJ's point, this Lightfoot is getting fed up with the Teachers Union. She just might make a move.
I would hope as Mayor of Chicago, Lightfoot would put the edcation of the city's children first. But I honestly don't see her having the courage to actually take brave action against the teachers union. More likely she will continue to make useless statements without any action, so she can pretend she was looking out for the children while she continues to get paid off by the teachers union and herself. Hope I am proven wrong, but I doubt it.

Per Biden he wants schools open which everyone agrees but what he said was interesting & true where when the Pandemic started $120 Billion was given to States/Cities to improve schools ventilation etc to make it safe for Teachers & kids so that schools could reopen. Los Angeles got $2.6 Billion to make their schools safe
But in many cities schools havent reopened due to the Teachers Unions voting not to go to work.
So Biden should’ve also said “If your schools do not Reopen the USA government wants its money back, after all that’s why we gave you the Billions”

Can you imagine $2,600,000,000.00, not to build schools in ONE CITY, but to make Schools "Safe"??? I mean to clean surfaces, put in some air purifiers?? SMDH

Biden is totally beholden to the teachers Union.
He won’t do squat.
He may talk some game, but that’s Old Brandon
He’s all about PR , slogans , mottos and gaslighting
No actual substance
He’s just hoping that the illegal strike is short lived and be can continue to divert the public’s attention with political attacks relating to events that occurred a year ago and have no relevance to what people really are concerned about today

Only 10%? That's probably the percentage who are not members. Try a different approach.
