This is best for him and for the team:
1. our Corner depth is very questionable but if you move him to C all of a sudden you start Bush and Artie Burns with Howard and Elder behind them. Your 5th and 6th Corners rightfully become developing players like Mayes or Redwine or Jackson.
2. We got enough depth at safety with Jamal Carter, Jenkins, Dallas and Juquan Johnson will be a stud. You also have Knowles there and if injuries, can also move Gayot back to safety as well.
3. Deon Bush has the speed and hips to play corner and be ideal NFL size (6'1" 205 LB's) physical aggressive lockdown corner going against WR rather than at safety, where he is always getting hurt because of his lean frame going against O-lineman blocks and 225+ lb running backs. And for NFL level, he is a bit on small/lean side to be a safety. Would probably have a much better chance to be a first round pick as a corner than safety.
This is a move that probably would be best for UM defense and for Deon Bush pro career
