The answer is NO doofus. Yes @wcoll95 you're a doofus because the answer is not a simple yes or no. It doesn't prevent covid everyone knows that by now. Surgeon General of our state can't just answer no. They still want people to take it so they have less of a chance of severe illness.
Anyone with an ounce of common sense knows the answer is a definitive No...
You have to adhere to the Orange leader's talking points if you want to be accepted to key positions in government.
Seriously with two Harvard degrees he allowed himself to look like a certified fool to get a job.You have adhere to the Orange leader's talking points if you want to be accepted to key positions in government.
Vaccine are not a fantastic four force field but they do help prevent hospitalization and death effectively. One sentence answer and keep it moving. The answer is NO doofus. As for Senator Book she really need not take the moral high ground when she's embroiled in a situation where some dude release the naked pics of her from her phone. Who the F*** has naked pics of themselves on their phone? Only a freak
So asking a surgeon general nominee if you are an advocate for the best preventive measures we have during a global pandemic is taking a moral high ground? Dude took a oath to do no harm. He is obligated to say if he knows something is beneficial or effective. You would be hard pressed to find a UM doctor who would have not advocated the benefits of a COVID vaccine. The answer is NO doofus. But he can't say it in an open forum because whether you want to take the shot or not it does show an ability to prevent serious illness. It's not 100% and it damn sure doesn't prevent one from getting or spreading covid. The question was meant in bad spirit. Additionally, maybe it does prevent initial Covid but it doesn't prevent whatever the virus is today. He is 100% right on masks. If you are wearing silk panties or cotton you are wasting your time. If you are wearing KN95 but you keep touching your face and messing with your mask you are wasting your time.Anyone with an ounce of common sense knows the answer is a definitive No...
Which would be what? Be specific. I would have said ; Senator Book the answer is that people who are vaccinated are getting and spreading covid the variant we are seeing today and I would be happy to sit down with you and dig deeper into the scientific data. You have to adhere to the Orange leader's talking points if you want to be accepted to key positions in government.
But that's not what she asked is it? wcoll95 first sorry for name calling, her question was Do vaccines work in fighting against covid 19 AND HE ANSWERED IT> He said the most widely given by pfizer and Moderna have shown to be effective against hospitilization. Truthfully though, that does NOT mean in the scientific community the vaccine works.Vaccine are not a fantastic four fields but they do help prevent hospitalization and death effectively. One sentence answer and keep it moving.

That question was a simple "yes" or "no" answer. That fool took 10 hours to respond while twisting in the wind trying to figure out how DeSantis wanted him to respond. Do you not see the danger he poses to Floridians?
Maybe he got media training from Jen pSAKi?That question

You're a Racist.
Maybe that lying POS Trump?Maybe he got media training from Jen pSAKi?
I’m not quite sure how racism is in play. He obviously has superior credentials with two Harvard degrees if that is where your going. His problem is he was less than forthcoming on basic medical consensus for political reasons and being connected to Dsantis. His political calculations make him look bad not his race if your into that sort of thing. We all know black is beautiful! You're a Racist.
2:48 of video he answered the question. A big ole nouthin burgerI’m not quite sure how racism is in play. He obviously has superior credentials with two Harvard degrees if that is where your going. I thought that is how the game is played! If you disagree with a AA then you are a racist, that is how the dim media plays it!I’m not quite sure how racism is in play. The way Desantis wants to plays it if you make a Caucasian American feel “uncomfortable” around racial conversations, you can be banned, fired, sued and report your teachers. Talk about doing to much!I thought that is how the game is played! If you disagree with a AA then you are a racist, that is how the dim media plays it!
Big difference between a discussion at a HS level and a nasty dogmatic teacher threatening a 2nd grader that if he/she/furry/transitional does not agree they are a racist they flunk the course. And Merrick Garland's Justice Department will arrest the child's parents. The way Desantis wants to plays it if you make a Caucasian American feel “uncomfortable” around racial conversations, you can be banned, fired, sued and report your teachers. Please don't pontificate about Ivy League credentials when Scotus Sotomayor, a Yalee does not understand the mathematical difference between 3,500 and 100,000.I’m not quite sure how racism is in play. Why should a caucasian child or any other child be made to feel uncomfortable? I would think for older kids like High School deeper discussions on slavery, civil rights, the holocaust would make anyone uncomfortable by the very nature of the subject matter. They are unpleasant topics. Thats far different than telling a little kid you're white so you're racist. NOT THE SAME!The way Desantis wants to plays it if you make a Caucasian American feel “uncomfortable” around racial conversations, you can be banned, fired, sued and report your teachers. wcoll there is NO medical Consensus . The Vaccine does NOT protect against infection, as people vax'ed and boosted HAVE gotten infected, and even have died. In truth you can not even call it a vaccine, by it's definition. That the Surg. Gen of Florida took his time and answered the question "smartly" should tip you off that the question WAS political and NOT purely medical. Before calling him inept, you should explore WHY a highly Educated man, as himself, would answer a question in that way. If your a Dr. I'm shocked you couldn't recognize the political origin of the question, considering the LACK of fundamental medical investigation into the causative agents that took a zoonotic infection into a pandemic, as well as, the lack of effectiveness of the covid vaccine to BLOCK infection, thus failing to stimulate the body's immune response into recognizing the covid antigen and completely eradicating it from the body. just to name a few fundamental reasons.I’m not quite sure how racism is in play. Good stuff mahb. In addition he clearly is not a politician, he is a bookworm scientist / physician. While his oratory skills might not be to the standard of a slick politician his answer is FAR DEEPER than any of those politicians could possibly understand. Lets not forget WE WERE TOLD that once the country was 75-80% vaccinated we would reach some sort of HERD IMMUNITY and life as we once knew it could then return. No need for masks and all this other nonsense. We now know this was false so the question is NOT a simple yes / no.wcoll there is NO medical Consensus . If your not a Dr. please read up on the immune response and vaccinia virus and vaccination. I recommend Guyton physiology as a good start. It's well written, Compleat, and easy to read. I wouldn't base my knowledge nor opinion based on what the talking heads have said, at least IF your not politicly motivated ( as a few 🤡's on here are all about)
Dsantis wants to these restrictions extended to adults as well even in private companies. We are not talking about racial discrimination, we are talking about feelings. Why should a caucasian child or any other child be made to feel uncomfortable? Dude, the CDC is a group respected physicians that are charged with setting a national policy for diseases. That represents a medical consensus. The vaccine is NOT a force field around your body but it is effective. From CDC:wcoll there is NO medical Consensus . Who wrote that vaccines lower your risk of getting and spreading the virus? What source? That person is inept, incapable of reading CLEAR DATA and that statement is 100% FALSE>Dude, the CDC is a group respected physicians that are charged with setting a national policy for diseases. That represents a medical consensus. The vaccine is NOT a force field around your body but it is effective. From CDC:
COVID-19 vaccines are effective
COVID 19-vaccines are effective and can lower your risk of getting and spreading the virus that causes COVID-19. COVID-19 vaccines also help prevent serious illness and death in children and adults even if they do get COVID-19.
CDC.gov or ask any UM doctor.Who wrote that vaccines lower your risk of getting and spreading the virus? What source? That person is inept, incapable of reading CLEAR DATA and that statement is 100% FALSE>
LOL The CDC is a governing organization. Where do you get the CDC establishes any kind of consensus? We physicians report and inform to the CDC, so that "we" as a whole can better understand and treat disease, but the CDC is independent as to it's recommendations. The CDC, same one of which it's leaders have retired to lateral positions, is a governing body, it's the Physicians that form a consensus.Dude, the CDC is a group respected physicians that are charged with setting a national policy for diseases. Dude, CDC= Center for Disease Control that our tax dollars pay for. Did your physician recommend that you take the vaccine?Mahb,
Common man, why would I believe a physician when I can get information from an Internet troll?
I respect that you are a doctor. But to represent that the CDC, hundreds of doctors in all media outlets at this point and my personal doctor have not advocated for getting a vaccine strains all credulity. Also, what UM physician colleague do you know that does advocate for vaccines? Name one please.um dude I am a physician. The CD collects information, manipulate pathogens "to better understand them", and has and sends investigators, but it's the IRB that grants, receives, and certifies All Research, and it's DR's in hospitals and in privet practice that report community findings and alert the CDC of problems and findings within the communities we serve.
Sounds like you listen to too much mainstream media, maybe you should ask your PCP how it really works
Mahb, I will translate for you:I respect that you are a doctor. Central17: Even your boy DJT is for the vaccines and says they work. Did your doctors tell you not to take the vaccines or do you listen Mabh and Fox??? I don’t expect an answer.Mahb, I will translate for you:
I know you are a physician but I am a democrat internet troll so I know better than people that actually live and work a subject. The DNC, Joy Reid, AOC, Jen pSAKi and CNN said so.
