Honestly was optimistic that Eric Adams would bring back public safety in NYC. He talked tough and looked tough. Although anyone looks tough next to DiBlasio - the love child of big bird and Herman Munster.
But he is now beginning to look more like Lori Lightfoot, Mayor of the Chicago Weekend kill show. He does not have the guts to take on the DA that is giving every felon a "get out of jail free card". He has not shut down top city officials calling for defunding the police. No he is taking the Lightfoot strategy of blaming the guns and the federal government. After one of NYC's finest was murdered he was doing his pep rally stuff and saying what a great job he is doing at getting guns off the street, but for every gun he takes off five more appear. Blames the federal government for too many guns. I am expecting him to blame Trump soon if he has not already.
Eric, maybe you should call Pete Buttigieg? What NYC has is a Supply and Demand problem. Too big of a supply of scumbag felons on the streets creates a large demand for illegal weapons. Mr. Adams, try reducing the supply of criminals by putting them in prison. It worked for Rudy and Bloomberg. At this point it looks like NYC is stuck with an all hat no cattle mayor. Maybe he can take another chapter from the useless Lightfoot book and make himself into a super hero? Once again he can take a page from the Lightfoot book.
