Its not so much about what they think, its about what they are successfully doing and we aren't. Europe has successfully slain COVID while COVID continues to slay us with no end in sight.
Then why is their deaths per capita higher than ours?
Because the virus went through Europe before it fully went through us. They were blindsided in the beginning, just as we were. The difference being that they took all the right actions with national testing, lockdowns, while we thought it was cool to open up early to help local economies, which set us back 6-12 months.

Raoul, do you honestly believe in your soul that we EVER should have locked down anything? Florida, a supposed hot spot , has around 8,200 deaths. That's about .00037 of the population. What's the demographics on those deaths? Weren't many of the deaths attributed to NY because of placing Covid patients in Nursing Homes? Why did Sweden never close anything? Do you think we should have adopted their strategy? Do you believe anything I just typed has any merit?
This is not even remotely in doubt other than in Trumpworld. You lockdown early and aggressively and snuff the virus out for good before it can spread. This allows you to open up safely and with minimal economic impact.
Uh, this doesn't have a damn thing to do with Trumpworld, Raoul. This has everything to do with the Real World and small businesses going under, schools being unnecessarily closed, and all of the hardship emanating from these absurd decisions we have done since March. I noticed you ignored the other questions in my post, but one was about Sweden. They not only didn't lock-down early, they didn't lock-down OR close anything at all. Why do you think they didn't adopt your "lockdown early and aggressively and snuff the virus out for good" plan? Did you hear that one from Fauci? Sweden seems to be doing just fine.

As far as your lockdown idea I live in Pa. They were arresting people for being outside, essentially a complete suspension of the bill of rights, drive in theatre church services were illegal, etc. And somehow we had almost as many deaths as Florida with half the population. We were locked down in most of the state until June. And we are still pretty much locked down, with 25% capacity in restaurants, thousands of businesses going out of business and Friday we had about 800 cases. So, no the aggressive lockdown pretty much was a failure in stopping the virus, though it did keep the hospitals from being overwhelmed which was the reason for it to begin with.
Most of western Europe with the exception of Germany has had as many or more deaths than we have. Spain,France and the Netherlands all are experiencing spikes as they did not achieve herd immunity like Italy and Sweden. Further more what a lame article quoting people on the streets who dont know basic statistics.
Covid isn't SLAYING us...
We are doing it to OURSELVES...
Are those countries INCENTIVIZING Covid death coding in their hospitals???

7 cases a day over the last couple weeks in my county in Pa and we find out today K-5 is going hybrid, 2 days in school 3 at home. Guess people with jobs are fvked.

The cure is worse than the disease, K-5 are the safest age group, and their lousy transmitters of the virus.
Unfortunately we had a President who refused to take it seriously and spent and wasted valuable months playing golf, holding rallies and simply ignoring the science that was presented to him....November 3rd is the day we end this nightmare and get this great country back to where it belongs ...
You wouldn’t know science if it bit you in the ass. The president was the only one doing anything and the press and Democrats were calling him paranoid, saying he was trying to distract from impeachment. At the same time Pelosi, Cuomo and other democrats were telling people to go to China town, ride the subway, and go eat at Chinese restaurants. I know your strategy, it’s the same as the press and the democrats, just keep telling the same lie over and over until people believe it.
