...in football, preferably as season openers.
Yeah, yeah, I know, this is a Canes board but look at what our in-state and conference rivals are doing: The Noles open the 2016 season against Ole Miss in Orlando and they are trying to book the Tide to start 2017 in the Falcons new stadium. In addition, they are targeting a game at Auburn to open 2019.
Not only are these all high profile games in important recruiting areas, but FSU recognizes the need to schedule tough out of conference games to help themselves with the playoff committee.
In the meantime, the Canes have the 2018 season opener against LSU at Texas Stadium and what else? Weren't we offered to play 'Bama in that 2017 game in Atlanta?
BTW, if Kaaya stays four years through 2017, that means we'd be starting a rookie vs. LSU. But if he leaves after his junior year then someone like Allison would at least have a year's experience before that game in Texas.
Go Canes!
