Something I’ve been thinking about: when manny took over the defense, one of the things he said was he wanted to let the SF kids play defense like they have been taught to play from Optimist and up through high school. He attributed most of the success of the defense to creating a scheme that fits the south Florida player: fast, physical, and simple.
What i can’t understand is why he isn’t willing to do the same on offense? SF kids are brought up in the spread offense. Almost every SF skill guy plays in a spread offense (minus Lingard who was in. WingT). So why hire an OC whose basic philosophy doesn’t match the athletes? I’m concerned that the style of Enos isn’t matching the style of the SF player. Does this mean Manny was duped? Or is manny oblivious on that side of the ball?
