Cliff. I have challenged Toledo to try and take my heavyweight title tonight. He has gone into hiding. He was kinda embarrassed tonight. You would be too!

Not emberassed at all, just busy. Rented an RV to take the kids on an impromptu road trip. Damn things are big and awkward as hell to drive at first. Was sure I'd end up w/vehicular homicide before I got used to it. A CDL should be required to drive some of those things.

Hey Toledo

The wife and I have talked about doing that for a long time. How was it dealing with setups and hookups and all that crap?

It's pretty simple. The water hooks up like a garden hose at your house. The electric simply plugs in. The sewage is pretty simple too, just not pleasant. A 3" hose is connected to the "black water" tank. The other end slides into the dump station. Pull the valve handle open, and the poo flows. When it's empty, you then dump the "grey water". This is from your bathroom sink, shower and kitchen sink. The grey water rinses the hose, and you're done. If it's just you & the wife, you wouldn't need as big of an RV. I needed something bigger to provide sleeping arrangements for my son & daughter. Something big enough for just the two of you would be a breeze to drive & maneuver. Make sure you choose one w/a big enough fridge so you can load up groceries less often. I picked one w/a 32" TV/DVD combo, so we could watch a movie if the weather didn't allow the kids to be outdoors/swim. Some of the campgrounds have golf carts you can rent daily to get around the grounds easier. I'd maybe suggest planning your route and knowing where you were planning to stay. We did it as a spur of the moment road trip, no set plan. Just hit the open road and cruise. Because of this, one of the campgrounds was pretty shady. Lots of trashy people and rebel flags etc. Just depends what you want the trip to be about. Overall, it was well worth it. Might do it every year now. Hope this helped.
