Go to Google Maps and look up Jackson, NH. Lots of people live and work in the Mount Washington Valley; we're just deal with the weather...a snowstorm is no big dealOP meant where people actually live and work. No one lives in upstate NH or Vermont 🤪 🤣
This storm is being described as a " bomb cyclone" which is no ordinary snowstorm. I lived back East during my younger years and remember snow drifts up to roof gables.Go to Google Maps and look up Jackson, NH. Honestly Mike, it's not a big deal here. The only people who really can't deal with it are tourists who insist on driving as though the roads are dry. The media really blows these huge storms out of proportion. Sure, there will be some major drifts and associated wind but not in front of my fireplace where I plan to spend the afternoonThis storm is being described as a " bomb cyclone" which is no ordinary snowstorm. I used to love those big storms because the schools were closed but I was too young to drive and didn't have to commute anywhere.Honestly Mike, it's not a big deal here. I used to love those big storms because the schools were closed but I was too young to drive and didn't have to commute anywhere. You're right about the tourists. When I lived in Colorado it was the tourists who caused the majority of accidents in snowstorms because they had no clue how to drive in those conditions and refused to slow down.
Surf's upThe mountains of NH are not getting the brunt of the storm. On the coast we have total whiteout, 75 mph wind, and 25 foot waves.
