I don't know if you folks will find this as surprising as I did but, despite being a second teamer this season, Joseph Yearby has quietly made Hurricane history by rising into the Top Ten of all-time UM RB's in terms of yards gained. This year, in order, he has shot past Hurricane All-Americans Chuck Foreman and Alonzo Highsmith, as well as standouts Warren Williams, Leonard Conley, Stephen McGuire, and Tyrone Moss, plus current NFL stars Frank Gore and Lamar Miller.

With a little luck, he has a decent chance to pass Willis McGahee this year, and then next year he should pass Javarris James, Danyell Ferguson, Graig Cooper, and the great Clinton Portis. Even if he continues to play behind Mark Walton next year, Yearby should end his career in the top 5 all-time at Miami. I don't know about you, but I find that simply amazing. Well deserved, but amazing nonetheless.

Here is the complete list, player plus career yards gained rushing:

Duke Johnson 3519
Ottis Anderson 3331
Edgerrin James 2960
James Jackson 2950
Clinton Portis 2523
Graig Cooper 2383
Danyell Ferguson 2214
Javarris James 2162
Willis McGahee 2067
Joseph Yearby 2033
Frank Gore 1975
Stephen McGuire 1953
Tyrone Moss 1942
Lamar Miller 1918
Leonard Conley 1892
Alonzo Highsmith 1873
Warren Williams 1734
Chuck Foreman 1631
