We can all find excuses as to why, but you are what your record says you are. I don't think winning or losing next week will shape the program for the future but if they lose to Pitt next week the optics will be historically bad, like only one five-win season in the last 50 years bad.
Did Manny Diaz leave this team in such dire straits? because it is hard to believe that the previous staff was on its way to a possible 5 win season. No one saw this season coming, especially the coaching staff, which is the most concerning part of it all.
