Howard's Canes went 9-3 and won the Peach Bowl after going 5-6. He wasn't done building it, though, and went 7-4 in '82. We know what happened in '83.
Jimmy had a rough 8-5 before going on his tear.
Butch went 5-6 in '97 before rattling off 9-3, 9-4 and 11-1 - all with bowl wins.
Even Al and Randy went 9-4 after lousy seasons.
Why is UM able to repeatedly pull off these big turnarounds? We always have talent and each one of those bouncebacks featured good QB play. Well, UM is as deep and talented as they've been in quite a while with a good QB, Killa' Kaaya - GO CANES!!
