...was the most Portis kid I've seen since Portis and he was just as good, if not maybe better by the time he's done, than Jordan Scarlett. You'll all get to see him develop very quickly this season, due to the unfortunate injury to Gus. I am also a big fan of Edwards, but Walton is the more talented back. I just know that 235lb kids with speed don't grow on trees. However, as long as the 3 kids we have don't get hurt, we'll be OK at RB.
But just take the time over the next 3 months to watch #1 play ball, and realize he's 18 years old. I've said it 500 times, he reminds me so much of Clinton Portis in basically every thing he does. Very, very natural runner. Fluid. Catches the ball real well. Willing pass blocker. I believe by the Clemson game he will be in a true time-share with Yearby and essentially splitting carries 50/50 with Gray getting short yardage work.
When you guys are done crying about pictures, just realize there's real reasons for excitement on this football team. The door opening for Walton is one of them. He is the real deal and will, in all likelihood, be a 3 and done kid here. He's that good. I can't wait to watch him play. He and Yearby are the 2 most naturally talented kids to play here in the same backfield since the early 2000s.
