ND is 'apparently' interviewing Belk and Al Golden for the DC position. Whoever takes the job will be running Freeman's defense with him being involved A LOT according to all comments I have read .. in both defensive game planning and game day defensive game management. To me .. that would not be attractive to Belk but it very well might be VERY attractive to Golden .. to get back in a high profile position at a high profile program .. and to a degree get brought up to speed on Freeman's defensive scheme .. to add to HIS portfolio. Might be Al's most viable career path to having another shot at a HC job before he rides off into the sunset. If ND DOES hire Belk .. who many people feel is the guy Mario wants .. who would be the next choice?
