I'm going to get skewered for this, but I think it's time to hold the players accountable.....

I'm not saying Manny and company are a world class coaching operation, and it's certainly possible that you could have had a coach in here who could have turned this into a circus and won these first few games, but after 17 years of players seemingly accept mediocrity and lack the urgency to win each and every game, is it time to ask - is it the players? Is it the culture?

We've had coaches in here who grew unbelievably stubborn on at least one side of the ball that we all agreed sunk us. Randy could not find an OC and we had zero offensive identity. Golden and D'onofrio might have set us back to the stone ages with their 80s Penn State defense, and Richt was calling an offense designed to be successful 30 years ago. We ALL blamed the coaches for our failures.

What we're doing right now of Manny and company is totally understandable - but our critiques of them, save a few towards Enos' perceived philosophy, but even that is debatable - have been nitpicking. Yes, the details matter, and while they need to improve, what about the players? We have a head coach who ran a defense that let our athletes be athletes. We have an offensive coordinator who is "multiple" to use a generic phrase, but someone who is on some levels part of the modern offensive world in college football. In broad strokes, the system is there for the players to be successful. They just need to want it.

We can push out our alums and greats like Michael Irvin out there all we want, but even he can't force the players to play with the same type of desperation that he did. I don't know how you get the players to buy into this idea, but it's getting REALLY old. After two games, I don't know if there's any one out there who has that will to win. Our three senior linebackers who were supposed to be the leaders of this team? I don't see it. There have been some nice moments on offense - from players like Jordan and our RBs, but one player can't win games. The entire TEAM needs to have this urgency to win, and we don't seem to have it, and that's just heartbreaking.
