No BS. No agendas. Let’s just talk the hard truth reality.
I am an alum. I BLEED orange and green. I have been a die hard for over 20 years. Unfortunately after witnessing complete incompetence for the past 13 years. It’s gotten to the point where I hardly give a shit when we take an L. What else is new? An L used to ruin my week and sometimes even month.
BUT
Why would I continue to set myself up for disappointment year after year? NOTHING is going to change on the field until we get serious and pay a top coaching staff. Yay we paid Enos 1.5M, but that’s just one coach. If you want an elite staff then you have to pay every coach on your staff top dollar. That’s what it takes to be competitive in 2019. You could win in the old days without paying top dollar. Those days are over. Until the BOT and university decide to get serious and pay up we are just spinning our wheels.
Problem is I just don’t know anymore if the BOT and university will ever care about winning enough to invest that kind of $$$ on football. I really doubt it to be honest and I’ve had to accept it as hard as that is. This program will never be back unless the leaders of this university change the way they look at football and I think EVERYONE should have concerns that they might never change.
I speak for many on this board I’m sure when I say all of the above is why we don’t give a shit that we blew out Bethune Cookman.
