Yes... This game was GUT WRENCHING, no doubt about it. I'm pretty sure me fighting with my FSU girlfriend, trying to fight any FSU fan in my vicinity was evidence of that but after I calmed down I realized that... This was a prime example that rivalry games can be heart breaking and don't always tell who the better team was...
Our defense DOMINATED in my opinion. I have never been more fired up for the other team to have the ball since the early 2000s. Yes they gave up 20 points but also weren't helped out by the offense who had many 3 and outs and didn't stay on the field long enough. Like I get being down about this game cause I still am but COME ON guys, we have a defense now! This season was all about seeing improvements and how can that not excite you?! With 3 freaking freshman linebackers!
Also, whether or not they admit it on the first play of the game when Kaaya got thrown down I'm pretty sure he either hurt his shoulder or possibly a concussion which hurt him the rest of the game since we have seen him play LIGHTS OUT against better FSU teams... Makes no sense to me.
You know I rarely post in this forum but always read what you guys have to say and it's so funny... You know why?? Because before the season you guys were predicting this as a loss and an 9-3 or 8-4 season and just because we beat GT and APP State you thought we would beat FSU just because they have had a few rough games. This is still a rivalry game and anything can happen and a lot of the time the better team doesn't win.. Like the year we beat them with Kirby Freeman taking over and the year we beat them with Jacory Harris when they had a future NFL QB in Cristian Ponder. That's how these games go...
This year it just seemed we were the "wide left" culprits and now we know how bad FSU must have felt those past years.... And it fuc**** sucks.
That being said I still believe we are the better team and I expect us to take care of business this weekend.
