There is a huge difference between thoroughly unprepared and out coached compared to losing from being young and inexperienced. I don’t think we lost because we were outcoached or unprepared but rather because we are young and inexperienced. That is a significant improvement over the last couple years. I am not one to look for reasons a loss was good but I am overall encouraged by this team No quit whatsoever and we were in position to win. Freshman QB is going to be good. OL needs work and we need to recruit to address LB, OL and WR. Our WRs are very overrated but they are not a liability, just not likely to be as dependable as we need. Punter was ok. Mallory has a tough game. RBs look very good. Baxa was up and down. Too many sacks, too many penalties...delay of game and false starts. A couple bad pass interference calls. Aside from bragging rights and recruiting, which Miami evened our a little, the good news is that this game was meaningless for both teams. Almost like we just had a fancy scrimmage with UF. Performance from this point forward matters. We need to take care of business each week and we need to improve a lot of things to do that but this program is in better shape than 12 months ago.
