We may be the mighty Miami Hurricanes but we are in a rebuild.
And during a rebuild we are going to lose some close games.
We are going to lose some games by one play here or there.
We are going to lose some game we should win.
That is part of the rebuild. We have a losing culture and they players have to learn how to win. Then how to dominate.
How to step on throats and make game changing plays when it counts.
In a rebuild you don’t start off beating teams 42-0. You have to build up to that. Before you get there you must learn to win close games.
Then you get to a point where you play a bad game with 4/5 turnovers or bad QB play and still pull out Ws. That is when you have arrived.
Tonight was a good step in that rebuild.
Am I happy with the win? No. I am thrilled with it.
We need all the momentum we can get.
