In fact, you can argue he isn't even on the level Richt was...

He had Justin Herbert, a Heisman candidate and currently starting QB in the NFL for two seasons, he was blown out in back to back weeks by Wash State and Arizona in 18, and in 19 opened up with a loss to Auburn, and then ruined his season with a loss to unranked Arizona State.

In 20 he lost to two teams Cal and Oregon State who only had 3 wins between them...Then was blown the fuk out of the stadium by Iowa State in the bowl game...

This season he loses to a Stanford team who is 3-7 currently...

It's absolutely fking laughable people think he is the "man for the job"... Without even diving deeper into his actual record...

Richt went 9-4 and 10-3 here before he threw in the towel and realized he hated coaching and basically sleep walked through his final 7-6 season... Mario isn't any better and brings us absolutely no coaching advantage on gamedays, he is completely reliable on his assistants..

There are 5-10 guys right now who are much better than Mario and actually provide an X's and O's advantage against opposing coaches, and it's amazing the support Mario is getting just because he is a Miami guy...

We have been down that road, Randy and Richt we're both Miami guys, and both left on terrible grounds...

Miami must do an actual search to find the absolute best coach possible....If Mario is who it ends up being then so be it, but he isn't a sure thing to make us a power like some think...
