Think about the gamble they’re making right now to get Mario, they’re essentially putting all the chips on the table that he’s going to say yes and not worried about the cataclysmic event if they don’t get him and are stuck with Manny for another year.

this is really an aggressive push to try to land Mario and we all should be hopeful that the culture has changed with Rudy and Joe E. It’s almost unprecedented for a school to string out their head coach like this while they back channel another candidate.

they are now risking a major blow back if Mario doesn’t say yes and as former Alabama AD Mal Moore said about waiting 45 days for Nick Saban when he was in Miami trying to land him, “if Nick doesn’t get on this plane you might as well take me to Cuba”
