First we have the stunning debacle that was the Afghanistan withdrawal. By giving up Bagram airbase before they pulled out equipment and Americans, they got people killed needlessly and left the Taliban fully armed with US equipment.
Second by predicting a quick and decisive victory in Ukraine and undersupplying them with defensive weapons they are left with a destructive war of attrition with needless deaths . Couple that with insane energy policies and insufficient sanctions and you have a disaster.
