I truly believe the next month will determine the future of the Miami Hurricanes football program. We are an irrelevant football program meddling in mediocrity. And I don't know if mediocrity is the correct word. We are a combined 91-61 from 2010 with one divisional title and no conference titles. We are closer to bad than we are mediocre. We have one 10 win season in the last 12 years.
While it appears the Administration has finally woken up and realized this, we are far from in the clear. Good decisions regarding the AD and head coach are absolutely paramount. Anything less than home run hires on both ends could kill this program. Earth shattering analysis, I know.
We have an alumnus, who is the hottest head coach in the country. He is #1 on every universities big board with a head coaching vacancy. I fear that if Miami does not do what it takes to get him here this year, this program may be done. Bringing back Manny, as some have suggested, is a death sentence. It is now or never with Mario, in my opinion.
