More spending on infrastructure but my guess is the Dems will jam it up with Green New Deal crap that will waste a whole lot more money. Already talk of tax hikes coming within weeks. This will be on the heels of the Pandemic. Corporate rates up by 7% which might sound good to dumb people on here but Corporations will just incorporate elsewhere. Those making 400K or more but that will affect small S corporations taxed at the personal levels. Wealth tax , taxes on stock transactions, increased capital gains taxes. Expect all of it...............................Amazing how they never say "lets spend less."?

This is what the Libtards are about. Raise taxes for their pork barrel b.s. projects, higher gas prices, and watch...we will end up in some war somewhere's we don't want to be. Half of this country voted for these idiots , so now the smarter half has to stop them in 2022.

Already caught on recording with Pete Buttigieg the Transportation Secretary the Dems saying they are going to do it thru Budget Reconciliation process again. Meaning no 60 votes needed in Senate. Meaning it will not be bipartisan again.

Bipartisan only works when the side with the weaker hand are willing to cooperate. Republicans aren’t doing that so Biden shouldn’t allow their obstruction to be at the expense of the American people’s interests. They should get rid of the filibuster and just start going by up or down majority votes.

You guys said the same thing when you instituted the Nuclear Option until it bit you in the azz with Supreme Court nominees. Republicans warned you at the time. There can be no obstruction if you don't first reach out to the other party you fool.

Schumer already calling it " environmental infrastructure".
They also want to institute new banking requirements meant to shame corporations. In short, banks will be required to ask questions of the corporation into matters such as their efforts to go green diversity, etc.....If they don't meet new criteria loan may be denied.

No shit! We have to pay for this. How else do you think we do it.....and infrastructure is bipartisan. Each party agrees we need to fix our roads and bridges. What do you expect, we just let them fall apart as we drive over them? This is why Biden was elected. We expect him to upgrade our countries infrastructure. It is much needed. So, I do not see the point of coming here and being pissed about that for no other reason that Biden wants to do it. It still must be done and it must be paid for.

The same for the green new deal. This is why he was elected. We are going to follow the science like it or not. Rejoin the Paris climate agreement and move forward as a leader in this space. Again, expecting anything different is rather stupid. We all knew what he would do.

Yeah but Republican voters are slowly going away as the party gradually collapses between competing factions, so the Dems would be wise to take action now, especially since the demographics in this country are aggressively moving left.

Trump took the deficit from 500 billion to 3.1 Trillion..Expect Biden to actually lower the deficit when it’s all said and done..Unfortunately higher taxes will need to be levied to manage the deficit....

Covid raised the debt primarily and the other side of the coin to managing the deficit is lowering spending you buffoon.

Donald Trump: As of the end of FY 2020, the debt was $26.9 trillion. Trump added $6.7 trillion to the debt since Obama's last budget, a 33.1% increase due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) predicted that the pandemic would raise the FY 2020 deficit by $2.2 trillion and the FY 2021 deficit by $0.6 trillion.9
In his FY 2021 budget, Trump's budget includes a $1.566 trillion deficit, representing a projected 5.8% increase over 2020.10

Barack Obama: Added $8.588 trillion, a 73.6% increase from the $11.657 trillion debt at the end of Bush’s last budget in 2009.

No one is aggressively moving left other than the 50% in power and the media that supports such nonsense.

Every four years millions of new voters are naturalized and millions more kids hit voting age. Most of them are left leaning at a time when older right leaning whites are dying off. This doesn't even count the fact that Dem demographics already are already gaining due to more black and hispanic voters participating. Therefore its easy to see that Rs are facing an increasing numbers problem.

I'm a fiscal conservative. The last fiscally sound admin was Clinton. America rejected fiscal conservatism and laughed at Al Gore and his lockbox. Bush spent like a tax and spend liberal. Obama rescued the economy by being a tax and spend liberal. Trump saw Obama's tax and spend and said hold my beer and supercharged the economy by being a no-tax AND spend fiscal liberal. Biden is probably gonna be a tax and spend liberal too.

Al Gore's lockbox don't seem so funny now does it. At least we'll get jobs out of Biden's plan.

As for reconciliation, I heard somewhere that elections have consequences.

There was no lockbox which is why people laughed at the term. It has never been anything other than an IOU on the FED balance sheet. Never held in a trust, not one red cent.

And I agree with you on both sides lacking fiscal responsibility; both are more interested in spending borrowed $$ to keep an economy going under their watch to assure re-election.

The issue of late is partisan legislation by both sides, that is immediately canceled when the other party gets their turn. This last Covid bill however takes it to a unthinkable level of spending and pork.

Obama inherited a recession that so 750,000 jobs being lost in months when he took over. Some of you are pretty stupid to think there is any way on earth we come out of that without investing in things. To invest it cost money. Just like any successful business. You INVEST in things like the auto industry and the American people so when I read about what Obama "spent" I laugh because those are people that do not know what the hell they are even talking about.

There is "spending" and there is "investing" so please understand the difference prior to idiotic comments.

Clinton was fiscally conservative because the Republican Congress forced his hand. Working together to cut taxes and spending.

Elections does have consequences. Fiscally sound Conservatives have to counter irresponsible Democratic , Socialist and Communist agendas that have little value to the masses while lining their pockets for their own gain. You can't tell me that Pelosi with her San Fransisco tunnel project will not see financial gains or Shumer with his bridge project as well? I have some swamp land in Florida if you don't believe it. Unfortunately, Republicans have to wait till 2022 to turn the balance of power in the Senate and House. If it doesn't happen in both or at least in one of the two, we may as well be called the United States of China or Russia or The United States of Serfs.

On this point I have to disagree. Both parties have become whores with no financial sense.

LMAO@this notion a sitting president had his hand forced. He is the president. The leader of the executive branch. Congress and the president don't force each other to do anything. Learn how politics work. They decided to balance the budget. Stop looking for a way not to credit Clinton. He was the president. It was on his watch. If there were heavy spending he would get the blame. YOu just are trying to have it both ways and it is silly.

CD I don't know how old you are but you have a poor memory. Newt and the republicans took the House on a fiscal 5 year plan to balance the budget. They closed the Government TWICE on Clinton until he signed the budget. He gets credit but it was the House who forced the issue.

Read and learn........................

You really need to learn our system of Government. What did Pelosi do for Covid? She forced BS into it by delaying and delaying and eating Ice Cream.

She has to do with how the House PRESSURES the Executive Branch
If a President allows congress to do anything they don't want to do they don't belong in office. You give and take. Negotiate. Work together. That president would be in my view a lil biatch to put it mildly. We don't need a lil biatch as our president.

You mean like the covid relief 1.9 trillion that just passed?

For 4 years there was no talk of bipartisanship and now you do. Why?

so my statement was accurate, it was the last fiscally sound admin...thanks for the clarification????
The WHY of your statement and it had to do with a fiscally responsible House held by Republicans. Clinton gets the credit of course

That’s so false but I’ll get back to you can’t write all the examples right now but I will cite the 5 previous covid relief bills as a starter

My point was that the American public rejected fiscal conservatism ever since that era. I don't know how best to put it other than accurately. The American public, ever since the Clinton admin, has elected congress and senate and president that spend. The last the worst of all in that it was No tax and spend. The balance sheet just gets worse and worse, since Clinton admin and this seems to be the will of the Citizens.

This is what I wrote.

No... Congress and the President both wanted it passed. The minority in congress didn't...but they are the minority right? When you are the minority that's politics. Get back in the majority. Offer better solutions right?

Because there was an effort to reach across the isle especially on these really significant bills. The Cares act had as many Dem sponsors as Rep; no pork just help for citizens and business, and widely promoted by Pelosi. It passed the Senate 96-0. Contrast that with the most recent $1.9T pork filled, progressive give away that was shoved through.

And did the Dems cooperate one iota during Trump administration ??

A world pandemic isn't an example. Why don't you find some over 4 years prior to the pandemic. Stop pretending republicans were interested in bipartisanship. Neither party is...and frankly republicans don't give a shit about common people so I am not interested in Dems working with them if you want to know the truth. Screw them because they look out for thier rich donors. Not everyday people.

Your side had an opportunity to negotiate but instead they punted.

There are more bills to come like H1. We will soon see if your side believes in voting rights.
