Surely there are some bad cops out there cd, however many of these killings could be avoided if people simply listened to and followed police orders when they are confronted by an officer. My neighbor is a cop out here and like he says, " Do people really think we put on the uniform each day with the goal of going out and killing someone?" Unfortunately, police sometimes only have a split second to figure out if they are going home to their families that day when some knucklehead reaches into their pockets or waistbands after they've been told to keep their hands where the officers can see them.
And the fact our sicker has eroded just adds to the dilemma. However CD is here to score points with what he thinks people want him to say not reality.
Please do not misinterpret my comments to mean all law enforcement officers kill people when it is not warranted. That's the problem. People hear that there are some people in law enforcement that aren't very good, they jump right to this conclusion.
Law enforcement shares what every profession shares. Some people just don't need to be in that profession. That is the same with my profession or anyone's. I know personally and respect plenty of people in the profession all they way to the federal FBI level.
I understand and resect the difficulty of the job. That doesn't mean I am okay with a bad cop killing someone for no apparent good reason. I don't see anything being done about this while they are protected and there are many examples of what I am talking about. Split second decisions do not apply in the instances I am referring to either. There needs to be better training and better procedures not only with the police department but with the court system. There is a lot of blame to go around everywhere. So, I am not solely putting it squarely on the police officer...because what they do is a symptom to a disease.
I have no problem with cd as a poster. He is entitled to his opinion the same way that I am even if I don't always agree with him. If nothing else, he sure makes the board a bit more entertaining.
I think that works both ways though as some believe that every time there is a police shooting that the officer is automatically in the wrong. I absolutely agree that the bad cops should be punished for their wrongdoings. And please don't get me started on the problems with our court system or I would be here for days.

That is your right to not like him and I surely won't hold it against you if that is how you feel. To me life is too short to hold grudges and it is the main reason that I try my best to get along with everyone regardless of their views. That doesn't mean that I won't argue and discuss things that I disagree with, just that I try to do it with a little respect for the other person's opinion.
I agree however, the situations I am referring to are not automatically assuming they are automatically wrong. I am referring to instances where the court says they are wrong.

Well, that's out there big time on the web with a lot of very compelling examples. I am still doing some research on it....so I am not all the way in 100% but there is some really strong evidence. For example, and I will give you this one.
He was hosting SNL and one of the key people there are in interviews claiming he couldn't read his lines. He was in every scene. They said he had a very difficult time reading his lines I should say. In some instances refused to read. In other instances he took it out of context...what was supposed to be a joke.
The ironic thing is I actually blame the electorate more than I blame Trump if this is 100% true. This country actually elected someone that is not literate? That is on us...and it is sad. I don't get any satisfaction making fun of someone that can't read. So, I won't necessarily kill him on that but I will kill him for lying and not being able to do his job.
