anymore. Miami is not committed to spending what it takes to keep up with the big programs. We’ve spent the minimum on coaching for the past 20 years. Maybe it’s time we became a basketball school. We are a small private research university. We’ve got some money, but not FSU, UF, Bama, Clemson, TX, ND, or even UCF money. The truth is that maybe our time has passed. Our secret was our talent base and that’s no longer a secret. Local talent is being offered opportunities around the nation and they’re taking advantage of it. If we are going to win again we’re going to have to spend big bucks on top coaches and the administration has shown us that is not a priority to them. The most recent Head Coach search was a joke. I’m rooting for Manny but the search was non existent. I don’t know about you but I’ve done more research when buying a damn lawnmower than Blake did on this past search. Doesn’t seem like it was much of a priority to me.
