Legit questions; my understanding is that once you get Covid and recover then you are immune. Is that true? If yes, then on any particular team if all the players get Covid do they no longer have to worry about catching it?

Quarantining 20 year olds just delays the inevitable and stretches out the pandemic. But its all about appearances.
There is a DIFFERENCE between QUARANTINE and ISOLATION...
To QUARANTINE the whole program is simply to put the ENTIRE TEAM and STAFF in one place....AWAY from their families...

This thing is going to run its course regardless of extreme mitigation. It is not a totally bad thing for the young and the healthy to get this virus and build their own immunity which is the best herd immunization. The death rate is what counts and while any loss of life is sad, the death rate is not high.
I was in favor of delaying the start of the season until late November or early December and play through March. Have a rookie (incoming freshman) after the season. And hopefully, get things back on normal scheduling for the '21 season.

I think you are grossly underestimating the lingering effects of this virus.
In a state where things have been much better than in the south. Also, they already had an outbreak.
This all affects Miami football this isn’t a checkers club it’s a big ten team if it can happen to them it can happen to us and every outbreak is one closer to postponing the season... there is a bigger picture to this than what’s going on on this board chill out I’m sorry what ever thread you liked got moved you are a cool guy normally don’t be rediculous over threads you are bigger thanthat
Southern, people just don't get it. jdx is a far left radical who has defended BLM on this board. He is intent on NOT having football this year and in fact would shut down the country again if he could.
In fact if 5 - 6 of our students test positive he would the first one on the phone telling Frenk he must close down the entire university.
Well the thread that was moved stated that the infection rates were improving nationally . And hence it improved our chances for a season and eventually fans
Not particularly controversial in my view , nor political. Today the rates in Texas, where I live improved again. Some like the socialist previously mentioned, may be rooting for increased infection, which translates to more death and a cessation of our football season.
So I’ll repost and update my comments from yesterday.Things are improving statistically. Infection rates may be decreasing. That translates to fewer deaths abd a possibility that we can play ball
