Attention Trump fans: believe it or not, the New York Times recently published an extensive article and supporting podcast saying that Trump can win the 2020 election even if he loses the popular vote by 5%.

Wow! For Trump voters, this has to be great news. It focuses on his need to repeat his victories among white working class voters in the industrial Midwest...Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio. Hilary totally forfeited those voters. A disastrous performance. Condescending....shameful.

For moderate Dems like me, the Dems can only win if they win back those working class voters (that’s Biden’s pitch) or make massive inroads in the Southwest....Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas with a newer agenda. The huge Hispanic population growth there together with highly educated younger workers (eg Austin, Dallas, Houston) threaten the traditionally more conservative voting history of that region.

What’s your take? How will Trump maximize his electoral advantage? How will the Democratic candidate (whoever that is) counter Trump?

Talk amongst yourselves.

One thing is for sure....no candidate is going to beat Trump if they keep parroting open borders, health insurance for illegals and medicare for all. The problem is that while only a moderate dem has a chance to beat Trump.....that moderate dem happens to be Biden and so far Biden looks like he has Mueller-itis when it comes to speaking in public.

Or...deny that there is a border crisis...

Or...not support voter Id laws

C’mon Strack. Pick up your game.

The bottom line is unless the economy tanks I can’t see the Dems having a shot. Most voters are not losing sleep at night because of children being separated at the border. The squad has given Trump plenty of material to work with that he didn’t have last year. Grated, it will be closer than it should be just based on people’s dislike of Trump’s personality.

I’d rather not talk about it. Let’s wait for the fake exit polls from MSNBC & CNN to come out and then enjoy the rest of the evening.
