His son's pre-existing condition would have been covered before Obamacare and after Obamacare, due to most corporate health benefits covering pre-existing conditions. Nothing new.

In 2009, Congress reauthorized CHIP and extended federal funding for the program. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) extended CHIP funding through FY 2015, and provided for a 23 percentage point increase in CHIP matching rates in FY2016-2019 if funding for the program is again extended. Absent Congressional action, federal funding for CHIP will expire a little over a year from now.

I understand that some people are not as fortunate. Those are the people I want to be able to have an equal and fair chance. Regardless of who they are. Regardless of their economic status, background, race, or religion. Someone should champion their cause. I am happy every single time the bully gets punched in the face as has happened with this law. People come together and do great things. It makes it the greatest country on the face of the planet. People have a fair chance to make something of themselves....like I was able to do.
