A few years ago a friend of mine gave money to the business school and had an atrium named for his family’s foundation. President Frenk was speaking at the ceremony. The turnover chain from Dyme Life had just been released and I got one of the first 50 DJ made. I had it for less than one day when my friend asked me if he could use it as a prop in the dedication ceremony and have President Frenk wear it when he spoke. We put the chain on Frenk when he went on stage. Shortly into the cocktail hour after the dedication, we realized Frenk had disappeared wearing the chain. A few minutes later, my friend received a text from Frenk’s assistant saying he loved his gift and was so excited to have it for his office! Less than an hour later, pictures surfaced of Frenk leading a campus tour wearing the chain and posing with it etc. I just looked at my friend and said “You owe me!” It took a few weeks but we managed to get the story to DJ and he got me another one. Ever since that day, I have had concerns about President Frenk!
