Most of that is fake. People are not allowed to demonstrate against Putin after the war started because he put in place new laws clamping down on any dissent. He's taking them in a North Korea like direction.
Understood but I speak to Russians in my building and they tell me there is real support.

It is interesting that liberals expect Russians to risk jail or worse to go out and protest against Putin. Yet these same liberals want to arrest and jail anyone in the US wearing a MAGA hat?

There is real support because Putin has the people convinced that Ukraine was the aggressor. When they find out the reality, Putin will be in trouble.

I don't understand why Republicans tend to support or give favorable opinions of Putin and other authoritarian governments? They preach small government for America but support one man rule over an entire country. Is that the kind of small government they want? Can someone elaborate?

Also worth noting that the entire fascists in Ukraine and "denazification" narrative was ginned up by Putin's internal propaganda apparatus to A - get the Russian public to believe it, so that B- they wouldn't rebel against an invasion (or "special military operation" as Putin would like to call it). This entire thing was created by Putin as a pretext to allow him to invade, which would explain why random Russians in Russia believe Putin's narrative or else are too scared to denoucne it for fear of getting thrown in jail.

Also, Russian media is now basically all propaganda. Imagine in American if the public only had the option of listening t any combination of Fox, Newsmax, OANN, and talk radio. They would eventually get radicalized and believe anything being said by these outlets.

I agree with this to some extent .There are always people who are easily led and don't think for themselves in both parties. Its pretty hard to explain away anything the Russians are doing in Ukraine. I am more interested in policies then some narrow minded ideology or vendetta. But for some if Joe Biden is for anything they are against it. In 90 percent of cases that's probably correct but in this case its not. I even think Biden hasn't been aggressive enough in helping defeat Russia.

Great Post Bruh…not uncertain, but why are posts like yours even needed/required in the first place??? I mean, even an averaged to maybe a smidge below average human being, should be able to realize/discern the salient points denoted in your post?…And these are some of the same Cro-magnons that sit on ours juries…For the Love of a Graceful God, how absolutely terrifying is THAT! Worser still, I have family members, long-time friends, loved ones and acquaintances that I know for absolute fact that they are well-read, learned, some even…dare I say…brilliant, yet as it pertains to their political thought processes, you would think that they are mentally challenged simpletons for some of the outlandish crap they continually fall for. And I’m not talking ‘bout (Rep. verse Dem.) crap, that ship has long sailed her last voyage for me. I’m now down to the Human ID/Affect level self thought and the innate processing of tangible facts. It’s just some of the absolute treacherous, untoward, embarrassingly malicious people and propaganda that they wholeheartedly believe in and subscribe to…and THAT shit is even more terrifying to me persinally, cause again, I am privy to their intelligenc…Lord help Us, ALL!

Fox is the least biased of the major news channels. CNN and MSNBC both are leaders in retractions, corrections or “updates”. They also get sued more. So if the comparison was CNN or MSNBC. or really any network they would literally only get one side of the story and lies about the other side.

There are many on this site cheering for a Putin victory just to blame it on Biden. Biden should do all he can do to ensure Ukraine beats Russia. Now that Ukraine has Russia on the run, they should take back control of the Donbas region and even go after Crimea. Of course the US should provide them the weapons to do so.

If we stop the Russians from taking control of Ukraine, we could mimimize Putin for years to come.

Fox Fake News promoted the lie the 2020 election was stolen from Trump. You call that not being biased or flat out lying?

Actually Raoul there was a Nazi like element in Ukraine. Crazy MF that live in that country sort of like their version of Antifa ( not a shot at liberals ) just a comparison or KKK etc...

“Neo-Nazi, far right and xenophobic groups do exist in Ukraine, like in pretty much any other country, including Russia,” Finkel said. “They are vocal and can be prone to violence but they are numerically small, marginal and their political influence at the state level is non-existent. That is not to say that Ukraine doesn’t have a far-right problem. It does. But I would consider the KKK in the US and skinheads and neo-Nazi groups in Russia a much bigger problem and threat than the Ukrainian far right.”

But still no excuse to invade and it isn't their Government.
But Putin and Communists are masters of convincing their citizenry to believe what they are told so many do.
I think the younger generation is most prone to protest and disbelieve as they were not raised during the harshest of dictatorships like the older generation in Russia.

Whole thing sucks.

Russian ‘Propaganda’

Russian claims about neo-Nazi influence in Ukraine did not begin just prior to the invasion of Ukraine this year. Putin and other Russian officials have been characterizing Ukrainians as neo-Nazi fascists since Russia invaded Crimea eight years ago, Tabarovsky said.

“There has been an intensive campaign of demonization,” Tabarovsky told us. And, she said, referencing Nazism has “a certain resonance for Putin’s core supporters in Russia” because “there is a national historical memory formed around World War II and the victory over Nazis. It is a strong part of the [Russian] national identity.”

Umland, an expert in Ukrainian nationalism who until recently was based in Kyiv, agreed.

“The primary reason that the Kremlin is doing this is because the defeat of the Nazis is the high point of modern Russian history,” Umland said. “It is a major reference point for the Russian national identity. ‘We secured the victory over Hitler’ — is a principal source of Russian pride.”

Putin’s propaganda cherry-picks the problematic parts of Ukrainian civil society and government, Umland said.

There’s a Nazi element in the United States as well, and yet there aren’t any calls to invade and “denazify”. Putin doesn’t consider Ukrainians to be real people and has always wanted to invade (despite the inconvenient fact that Ukraine is older than Russia). He is therefore just using the concept of denazification to sell it to the Russian public because he knows there is a lingering paranoia about Nazis after what happened in WW2.

The ultimate irony being that Putin himself is a totalitarian fascist.

I am serious about my allegation. There have been too many comments about Putin > Biden. If true, that means Russua > USA. You can't have it both ways. Even your leader, Trump, has called Putin a genius but no such comment about the American President.

I don't expect Republicans to openly praise Biden but you shouldn't put that Russian pig above a US president.

How can you believe some of what we are told here in this "democracy?"
This is what I'm talking about. Comments like this make it appear you are pro authoritarian rule and by default pro Putin. Our democracy ain't perfect but it sure beats a one man rule form of government.

Dude YOU ARE ON TEAM MANDATE! And you dare lecture us about authoritarian rule? Take a hike fool.
