No other team in CFB has anywhere near the recruiting advantage over their division opponents as Miami. Even now, after a lost decade, we are still significantly out recruiting all of our division opponents and everyone else in our conference save FSU and Clemson.
Short of hiring a Saban or Meyer type, the only way Miami is ever going to be Miami again will be to dominate our conference opponents the way our recruiting suggests that we should.
If we can ever find a staff that can accomplish that relatively small task then, our level of recruiting will rise. Accomplish that consistently over a few years, and our recruiting will be right back to the level we all believe it should be.
