Republican Led Bipartisan Juneteenth Federal Holiday Bill Signed Into Law!

Thanks to Texas Senator Cornyn for introducing the Juneteenth bill last year and working across the aisle to get this done, acknowledging and honoring another great day in American History. I know many of our board liberal loons prefer to focus on the negative like every cop shooting and accuse every Republican of racism, but this is a significant event they can’t ignore.

Most aren’t familiar with what this holiday represents and other significant events in history, like the Tulsa massacre (@claboo @cdwright40 @miamimike @cems52 @cortez55403 ), unless Lemon and Maddow discuss it, but hopefully they use this day to reflect on progress and continued progress.

Do you know how stupid you sound AGAIN?
The purpose of teaching HISTORY of any sort to children is to cast a wide net over the subject matter. Do you think the Tulsa Massacre is the only SPECIFIC atrocity to occur during and after slavery or the Civil Rights movement? Are Teachers allowed to tailor their age APPROPRIATE curriculum to the subject and hand or do we want to REGULATE that also?
One would think during Black History Month or American History classes that the teachers would put together a well rounded curriculum
Contributions of Black people in America
Slavery pre and post civil war
Famous Black Americans
Civil Rights movement so on and so forth
When we teach about the Holocaust of Jews do we need to teach every single atrocity or are we looking to provide a wide teaching of what occurred?
These kids are not getting Doctorate Degrees. We are looking to provide a wide net when we teach subject matter to our kids.
If a teacher wants to include the Tulsa Massacre to their students as part of their curriculum thats great but it is only 1 event.

BTW Tulsa Massacre is not Juneteenth. That is yet another specific event.

I for one don't live in the Lounge, only frequent it periodically therefore I often miss much of the nonsense you and other Trumpets put out. But I actually have to commend you for your attempts at appearing less racist than you actually are. You still are the Lounge's MOST RACIST poster no matter how much you try and disguise it with your recent pro black postings......nobody's fooled, it's too little too late. You've shown your true colors initially and once you got outed, you've gone into image repair mode.

But as far as the Juneteenth bill being enacted, I think it's awesome regardless of who introduced it. You keep making mention of Republicans being viewed as racist by folks in the Lounge....as I've stated before, I have NEVER taken that approach, and I challenge you to find a post where I make that assertion. You do realize how this works? The presidents staff provide names of qualified judges and he pushes them forward. It is what it is, not racism, since not all were white. If all had been white I would agree. I know you love looking for racism where there is not.
