Other than throwing up in my mouth again at the 4-17 defensive call...some good things....and some bad.....

1. Zion was a 1000% better.....and they showed some confidence...they threw him up twice in 1-1 matchups late and he stoned his guy...as shitty as he was against Florida, this kid is going to be special.
2. Clark can move and identify in space and does not get stoned at the point...he also has some significant upside. gotta learn when to let go and not grab in the open field but really nice tools.
3. The guys you expect to show up showed up..Brevin, Cam, DJ, Shaq
4. Rousseau is almost unblockable in passing situations.
5. Jordan Miller is developing fast.

the bad....
1. poor contain and poor angles in the run game, and especially close to the LOS, perfect example was the 2 pt conversion losing contain.
2. Donaldson is criminally overrated.....his movement skills are not good...and he is not dominant at the point.....he might actually be better off at center, and excel against DLine's that play a zero technique (he is a catch blocker) .......speaking of which, Gaynor might make calls and be a leader and be an effort guy and a hell of a Cane, but his skills are not the level needed to be elite.
3. Well documented lack of depth hurts even more when starters have to play St's..which was terrible.
4. Young corners are much more comfortable playing toward the LOS than away from the LOS......lack confidence in catch up speed in man or speed to a spot in zone?????
5. The defensive space players (CB's, S, Striker, OLB) are not as athletic as we have been led to believe.

I might not mind seeing an offensive line of (L to R) Zion, Cleveland Reed, Donaldson, Clark, Scaife.
