Final Update:
We are reeling, Caniacs...
We lose 7-5...blowing a 5-2 lead early for our 4th straight L...longest of the year...and we lose the series to an unranked team to boot...heck of a time to nosedive...
Final Line Score:
Where to begin...needless to say, we are reeling at the worse possible time...
In our last 10 games...starting with Game 1 at VT...I think we've lost 6 of them...
PITCHING
LP: Ligon: (6-3)...lasted only 3.2 innings giving up 6 runs, 7 hits
HITTING
Romero was our offense...he had 2 HRs for 3 RBIs...
DEFENSE
We made 1 error...so did the Bees...
SCORING
Bottom 1 they take a 1-0 lead on a HR by Parada...
Top 2 we tie it in the top of the 2nd...1-1...Romero solo HR?
Top 3 we score twice to take a 3-1 lead
Top 4 we add 2 more on Romero's 2nd La Bomba of the game to go up 5-2...
Bottom 4 GT scores 4x that includes an E by us to retake lead 6-5..
Bottom GT adds an insurance run...
RECORDS
We fall to 31-12 and 16-7/ACC (UVS did us a favor beating VT today )while unranked
Georgia Tech improves to 27-17, 12-11/ACC).
STAT OF THE GAME
We struck out 11x...Bees K'd only 3x...bad combo...poor at the plate and on the mound...
NEXT UP
Game 3 is Sunday at 1 pm as the jackets go for the sweep. Where we once did the sweeping, now we could get swept. How things have changed.
And we go to FSU next weekend...I don't even want to think about what could happen there...
HEADS UP: I cannot cover Sunday....6 hours of this has been enough...I want an afternoon off...I will set up a game thread and hopefully, someone can provide updates and maybe bring some luck to the team...they need it...
Have a great rest of your weekend, Caniacs...
It's always great to be...just not as much when we lose to teams we should beat, especially down the home stretch...
Go Canes!

Greetings, Caniacs...
It's Game 2 in Midtown Atlanta between our No. 3 (not for long) Hurricanes (31-11, 16-6/ACC) and unranked Yellowjackets of Georgia Tech (26-17, 11-11/ACC).
HEADS UP: The game is being televised on ESPNU and not online on Watch ESPN/ACCNX. OOPS, THE HARVARD-YALE LACROSSE GAME MAY GO TO OT...GO TO ESPN NEWS OR THE ESPN APP TO WATCH THE GAME.
Since our series at VT 2 weekends ago, we have gone 4-5 do are we in a slump? After going 0-3 in our last 3 games,
the first time that has happened all season it could qualify as one.
Pitching has not been a problem, or as much as one, as our hitting, or lack of. The Bees average close to 10 runs a game and we held them to just 3 last night. Unfortunately for us, their pitching, which is second to last in the ACC, was better than ours in Game 1. Mainly because we left 12 runners on base and couldn't get the timely, clutch hit when we needed it. And while GT knocked 2 out of the park, we hit 3 long balls that landed on the warning track. It was a game of less than 10 feet.
