We have to get away from politics fir a sec.

In no order imo:

1: poltergeist
2: candy man
3: original haunting
4: amityville horror
5: the haunting in Connecticut

I remember being like 12 and sneaking into candyman at the theatre. That was a bad idea. That shit freaked me out for like five years.

What do you have?

Oh ya, and our 19 season. That one was pretty terrifying too. We didn’t have a qb but there was a possibility of having one, we were capable of beating the devil (uf) but came up just shy. Unc missed by a field goal. Lost to fiu, duke and another team I can’t remember because they were a nobody. God that was scary. Thank god we have some wins right now. Not going to lie, every time the devil wins (uf) it’s kinda like a terrifying movie that doesn’t end well. Hate those mother ****ers. It’s not fun either like the scary movies I mentioned cause it’s true. We really need to do something about those turds. They (pure evil) need to be stopped.

Scary? Or freakishly weird & demonic? The Rob Zombie movies were way out there for me. Devils Rejects was bizarre.

The Haunting was so unique because they ever showed a ghost or a monster in the whole movie but it was still scary as anything when I watched as a teenager.
I learned that fact much later and I was shocked by it.
Just giving it the props it deserves.

Correct. I remember as a kid watching this movie and being scared shitless. No gore or special effects to speak of, not that doesn't have it's place, but to your point, it made it unique and frankly is why it is such a classic film.
