Forget coaches this is about position groups
QB room. Perry showed some flashes but he also showed what we saw in 18. Inconsistent. When he is on he looks pretty good but it just doesn't happen enough.
JW after nearly leaving us as a true freshman because CMR didn't play him he wins the starting job as a redshirt freshman. Accuracy was good enough most games but he also missed far too many big plays in nearly every start. Just didn't see the field well enough. Worse then that is the mental aspect of JW. Widely reported that he walked off the practice field at least once, that he is either lazy in film study or just doesn't understand the importance of study for each upcoming game. I think he lacks the "it" factor.
RB room to me is solid. Deejay did his thing as always. Cam Harris showed up solid. Lingard we are waiting on. Incoming class should make this room one of the best in CFB.
TE room Brevin is just a stud. I think his blocking gets even better next year a bit stronger this kid is just like Deejay to me. Mallory after starting shaky early and not being used middle of season he finally showed up BIG late in season after Brevin's injury. Another year of S&C for him and he could have a monster year next year. Hodges I think they like his athleticism going forward.
WR room is weaker then most think. Harley most improved player on offense to me. He played very consistent every game. If he was 2 " taller and bigger he would be elite. Wiggins has the frame and speed but too many drops. I expect him to get better next year. Pope still needs to learn but if he can get it to click could be dangerous. Payton don't know but they like him. JT4 I don't know what to say. Kid leaves, then comes back. Didn't look fast to me this year. It's true in many games he would be wide open only to not have the ball thrown to him. There has to be an atitude thing with him. He doesn't appear to even be a very good team mate. I can understand his frustration but clearly something wrong between him and the QB's and team. It appears it was a mistake letting him return.
O-line I don't know where to begin. Just awful at season start. Then I really thought they got better. Without this unit getting deeper and better all of the above means nothing.
