This is a pipe dream, but the simple solution to returning Miami to national prominence overnight is $$$ (major investment/commitment to the program), which would allow the university to do the following:
1. Fire Blake and go hire an aggressive winner, manager, and fundraiser that is able to raise the money to pay a top of the line coach like say a Lincoln Riley 10 million per year and also pay the money to hire a top notch staff. The Clemson AD comes to mind and I believe he has Miami ties.
2. How will the new AD raise the money? Tap into the former NFL players for help etc.
Before everyone including Gary blasts this post as ridiculous, I am just throwing this out there and it is not a knock on Manny or Blake per se... I get that it will never happen, but can you imagine if it did? What is the over/under on the number of national titles we would win over the next 10 years? I put it at 4-5... One can dream, right... Go Canes!
