I will be completely fair and neutral in what I saw in yesterday’s scrimmage...

I thought Perry was the best QB yesterday. He had all the scoring drives except one (Jarren had the other). Perry’s only issue is his deep ball. There was plenty of times he completely over threw his WR by 5 yards. The 25 yard rope to Dyall Harris on the sideline was actually a completed pass. His 25+ yard throw to Pollendy (TE) was a great pass also. He moved the ball at will and put us in scoring positions a lot. Lastly, Perry needs to work on his touch and accuracy for wideouts going across the middle. He drills everything and can get our WR’s seriously hurt if he’s not completely accurate.

Jarren looked good but the defense he was going against was a mix of 2nd and 3rd teamers. He looked like a more controlled Perry but he kinda shuts down when he’s under duress.

Rosier is in the same form that lost us 3 straight games last season. He’s definitely not the answer. Something about him just looks off to me. He doesn’t even look like an arena football league, or Canadian football league QB. He’s a senior and played like a walkon freshman today. He took about 5 sacks, his accuracy and arm strength is the worst out of the other two, and non of the players look like they gravitate to him. Stephen Morris, Kaaya, and Jacory had more of a respect amongst their teammates then what Rosier is giving off. Coach Richt can’t start and end the season with him. He looks the same from the Wisconsin, Pitt, and Clemson game last year.

RB mixed with run blocking was thee worst I’ve ever seen. Lingard had the best run of the day and that was a 10yard run. There was countless stuffs and negative yard run plays all game! No other rusher had more then a 3-4 yard gain on one single run. WE ARE SCARY BAD AT RUNNING THE BALL!!! I don’t know if it’s because our Defense is top 10 in the country but we are TERRIBLE AT RUNNING THE BALL!!! Why Richt is so bent on getting a FB is beyond me because he didn’t use a FB all game. It is highly unlikely that he is holding on to his FB package until that freshman FB comes this summer. Also every run was from shotgun! Smh!!

Offensive line may be worst then last season. We can’t run block, pass blocking is going to be shacky all season, and does any of the other OLineman other then Gauthier, St. Louis, and Donaldson want to make it to the NFL? None of the other Linemen stud out or looked like they give a shit. Some looked like they were just going through the motions. I didn’t think losing McDermott would’ve set this line back this much. We recruited well in terms of star level, I just don’t know why it seems we only have 3 good OL on the team...

WR’s are good! Hightower looks like the next great Hurricane WR to come out of The U, Thomas and Harley looked good, Cager looks the part, but Rosier is so bad that he killed the day for Cager because he constantly under/over through him. Dyall Harris dropped like 3 catches (worst WR on the team)! Michael Irvin Jr needs to get his scholarship revoked! He dropped passes, false starts, and he looks completely out of shape. He definitely doesn’t have the mindset of trying to make it to the NFL. Nothing about him shows a sense of urgency to be great let alone good. Pollendy looked good. He looks the part and can definitely be serviceable.

RBs all looked the part and if they played behind Alabama’s or Georgia’s OL they would be the best in the country! But it was a false read on them today because the OL was terrible at run blocking! Lingard is a bull in pasture waiting to be released!! Quick burst and runs hard! We just need an offensive line to let these runningbacks be elite!

Offensive play calling is what’s going to hold this team back more so then the personnel. Our run scheme is horrid, bubble screen is our new short yardage play, bootleg after bootleg, and our passing game is definitely not pro-style. The offense play calling is a complete mess! By the end of the season, I think Richt final realizes that he needs to hire a true offensive coordinator.

Defense is perfectly fine. We need a little better cornerback play and we legit have 3 DTs on this team (Ford was just ok. Nothing to get hyped over just yet). We need 2 more DTs on this DLine for me to feel comfortable with this defense as a whole. Jackson, Garvin, Patchan, and Rousseau look like the best DE unit in the whole entire ACC but they’re probably second to Clemson.

LB are very solid! Safety play looks good, maybe we need 1 shutdown corner but the CB’s look serviceable. Not great! But serviceable.

Overall... Perry just needs to iron out some kinks. Better touch, poise, and accuracy is his weakness but he looks like the overall best option at QB, OLine needs to get it together!! We need much better OTackle play to atleast make it to the ACC Championship Game again. DT depth and more DT depth, and lastly Feagles still looks raw as a punter, and i hope Bubba Baxxa is our next great FG kicker because FG kicking wasn’t the best either.

This team has 5 months till LSU in Dallas Cowboy Stadium. We have a chance but this team has to show up on the big stage like the ND and VTech game to be taken serious. We have 5 months to get ready and we’re more then capable of meeting the challenge.

Other then that, it was a pretty good turnout compared to South Florida standards, the stadium is beautiful, I met and took a picture with All-Pro safety Landon Collins (His brother is Gerald Willis and Sean Taylor is his favorite player of all time), and we have hot cheerleaders - watchout Oregon and USC! Lol!
