What a difference one game makes. Not a single defender of Al Golden on this board today.
The Canes have had the same issues all year that led to Saturday’s defeat. The only difference was the opponent was much better than anybody we have faced all year.
I repeat... the only difference was the opponent.
Where are the people giving Golden a pass because of our lack of depth?
Where are the people blaming the players?
Where are the people blaming the fans or the banners?
Where is Gary calling for calm and to give Golden a break since nothing is happening until the end of the season?
Instead Gary is starting threads about possible replacements.
Would it have been different if the score hadn’t been so bad?
Would CD still be supporting Golden if it had only been 45-0?
What was the magic number?
Honey, advarkas, the list goes on... Longtime posters and unquestionable Canes supporters who have consistently been bashed for pointing out the obvious. Now everybody is on their bandwagon.
Gutless losers kiss Golden's ass for 5 years and then he gets beat by a really good team and suddenly your eyes are open. If you didn’t see the worst coach in UM history in the second half of the Nebraska game, why were they opened against one of the best teams in the nation? Golden's obvious coaching errors were more obvious in the Nebraska win than in the Clemson loss. It’s been obvious Al Golden hasn’t been the answer for quite a while. We are the same team we have been all year. The competition was just better, thus the score was uglier.
Golden can't be gone soon enough for me. It should have happened last season. But at least the guy sticks to his guns. (It's Blake James' fault that he is still our coach) Golden will walk away from this job knowing he did it his way and stuck by his friends. We've got a lot of folks on this site that turned on their guy in a matter of a few hours. You are bigger losers than Golden and that is saying something.
